Hi. I'm, Nicolai
Hello! I'm a 22-year-old aspiring software engineer from Denmark. My journey into the world of programming began in 2018, fueled by a passion for technology and the need for a new Minecraft plugin. I began my Software Engineering studies at SDU in September 2024, and I'm continuously expanding my skills and knowledge in the world of programming. My primary focus is backend development, but I also delve into full-stack projects from time to time.
In April 2023, two friends and I launched a tech company called Valoks — just three friends driven by a shared passion for building innovative software. I met Frej back in high school through a shared interest in coding, and Oliver and I go way back from online gaming. Since then, we’ve created everything from SaaS platforms to custom tools, and our software has reached a ton of people, with thousands using it daily. We love solving real problems and making solid solutions that people actually enjoy using. Personal projects
Although I haven't done a ton of personal projects, I do have a few you might find interesting. Just a heads-up — some of the code in these projects is from my early days of programming, so maybe don’t look too closely. :)
Discord Bot
In 2020-2021 I worked for a Minecraft network called SkullWars. I created a Discord bot that was used to manage both the Minecraft and Discord server. The program created dynamic images using node-canvas with data from a MySQL database.
Minecraft Plugin
While working for SkullWars I also made Minecraft plugins. I hooked into other plugins to collect and save various data to a MySQL database. I also implemented changes to improve the combat system, filter chat messages, and other fun features.
